To start painting wooden doors, you must first remove the door leaf from the hinges and put it on some convenient elevation, for example, on the old table. After that, you can remove the curtains and the castle. If the doors need to be shortened along the length, then you need to cut the canvas with a manual circular. For this, measurements are made in advance, a line is drawn with a pencil where it will be necessary to cut off or you need to put the ruler – without this it will not be possible to cut off exactly and correctly.
Now you can grind the surface. This can be done using a special grinder, which must be connected to a vacuum cleaner so as not to dust in the room. If there are places where it is not possible to treat with a grinder, then you need to do it manually. Carefully process all angles, the old finish should also be removed on them. Remove all dust from the surface with a damp sponge and after that you can begin to close up all the damaged sections of the doors. For this, a special wood putty is used. You can grind with sandpaper only after the putty is completely dried up. Before applying the paint, it is necessary to load the surface of the door. When the primer dries, you can start painting. It is worth noting that the paint must be applied in one or two layers, if necessary.
