Due to its not small sizes, a parquet board fits quickly enough. If you know certain rules for the installation of this coverage for the floor, then you can easily carry out this process on your own.
The very first thing you should remember is to lay a parquet board in several ways. Below we will consider the floating way of styling. Let’s talk about the principle, advantages and process itself.
The advantages and features of the floating method
This method involves the fastening of the boards by gluing without fastening to the basis. Relatively recently, the possibility of connecting the material without the use of adhesive composition. At first, this approach was used only for laminated coatings, but today it is applicable for parquet.
The parquet board is provided by the spike and groove mounts, thanks to which the material is fixed with each other. Such a fastening is reliable, since it is not afraid of temperature changes and high humidity, as well as the impact on the coating of a mechanical nature.
The method without the use of glue makes the whole process much easier and easier. In addition, it is not so marking, since the glue will go out in any case, on the front side of the material. Therefore, you need to work as accurately as possible, and this already requires more time.
If we lay styling in this way against light, then the floor surface will look like a whole canvas. In addition, the undoubted advantage of this method of installation of parquet is the possibility of dismantling at the right time without damage to neighboring planks.
The only requirement put forward to such styling is an absolutely even and gesture surface. Otherwise, it is necessary to fix the material to the base with glue. The same applies to a fairly large room.
Basic requirements for laying
It is necessary to strictly observe the process technology, temperature and humidity in the room. The temperature in the room where the parquet is laid should not be lower than 18 degrees. The minimum humidity can be 30 percent, and the maximum – 60.
Pay attention to the base, it should be even, dry and clean. If you carry out the installation of a parquet board on concrete, then you need to lay steam isolation. The basis is lined with insulation, and a parquet glued to the faner or chipboard is the main material on it. Without fail, this design should be carefully attached to the base.
If the parquet board has a varnished surface, then you should not use water -based glue when laying.
